He has shot wildlife films for Survival- Anglia in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Ashish assisted cinematographer G. Dieter Plage in Sri Lanka in Yala, Wilpattu and Gal Oya National Parks. He has also shot and produced programmes for various Departments of the Ministry of Forests and Environment, Government of India. He has compiled and edited a book in association with TNA Perumal and Shanthi Chandola titled 'Eye in the Jungle', in appreciation of the photographic work and writings of the naturalist, writer and photographer, M. Krishnan. </dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The intellectual arrangement strives to preserve provenance and original order of the papers. Where an original order could not be found, the Archives has applied an order, and folders within sub-series are arranged usually in chronological or alphabetical order. </dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The Collection is arranged into one series, titled ‘Projects’, which has been arranged chronologically. The series contains contact sheets, microfilm slides, and photo negatives created by Ashish Chandola. It includes photographs of Billy Arjan Singh at Tiger Haven and the Crocodile (Gharial) Project led by H.R. Bustard in 1977. An elephant capture from an untitled project in Upper Assam in 1979 and the translocation of a rhinoceros in the late 1980s. Besides, photographs of researchers in various field sites, wildlife at national parks and bird sanctuaries and stills from a display of poached tiger skin and bones, all ranging from 1990-1995 are included in this series.
