He lived the early part of his life at Varanasi, and moved to University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore to obtain a MSc in Agricultural Sciences. Chandrashekara finished his PhD under Raghavendra Gadagkar at Centre for Ecological Sciences, IISc in 1991 and subsequently joined USA to teach entomology. He was a popular lecturer at UAS and lead varoious outreach efforts on campus and in the city.

S Subramanya is an ornithologist and an entomologist. He worked as a senior faculty in agricultural entomology at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore till his retirement in 2018. Under Dr. Salim Ali, Subramanya worked on the bird migration project at Point Calimere, Bharatpur and Harike. He worked on birds in agricultural ecosystems during his PhD and went on to study entomology. Subramanya’s contributions to ornithology include compiled details on heronries in India, surveys on several enigmatic bird species in southern India, including the Yellow-throated Bulbul and Broad-tailed Grassbird, establishment of the Ramadevarabetta Vulture Sanctuary at Ramnagara to save the habitat of the critically endangered Indian Vulture and getting GKVK Campus declared as a Biodiversity Heritage Site. 

H R Arakeri was an agricultural scientist who worked on agricultural research and soil management in Karnataka. Arakeri was obtained a MSc in Agriculture from University of Bombay and a PhD from University of Minnesota in 1949. He began his academic career at College of Agriculture Pune, and worked at College of Agriculture, Dharwar before joining the Department of Agriculture in Karnataka, eventually heading it as Director of Agriculture. Arakeri was also the Vice Chancellor of UAS.</dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The intellectual arrangement strives to preserve provenance and original order of the papers. Where an original order could not be found, the Archives has applied for an order, and folders within the sub-series are arranged usually in chronological or alphabetical order. The second series contains the material of S Subramanya with one sub-series titled “UAS Publications”. The sub-series contains two booklets in Kannada related to entomology and one booklet in English regarding a student’s colloquium. 

Series three contains material related to former UAS Vice Chancellor H R Arakeri. It includes photographs taken during Arakeri's career, from events, conferences etc. Sub-series two contains a farewell address presented to him in 1979.
