Where an original order could not be found, the Archives has applied an order, and folders within sub-series are arranged usually in chronological or alphabetical order. See Scope and Content section for details.Vigyan o Vigyankarmi is the official Journal of the West Bengal’s Science Workers Association or West Bengal Vigynankarmi Sansthan. A social and scientific affairs magazine, it touches upon the development of scientific and industrial policy in India and the welfare of ‘scientific’ workers i.e. those in scientific, technical and industrial domains.The collection consists of 117 issues of the Bengali science journal ‘Vigyan o Vigyankarmi’. The issues have been organised into 6 sub-series, each sub-series forming a decade between 1970 to 2020. Copyright may not have been assigned to Archives, National Centre for Biological Sciences. Permission for reproduction or distribution must be obtained in writing from the Archives at NCBS (archives@ncbs.res.in).
