See Scope and Content section for details.</dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Series one contains photographs and photo albums related to events, protests, workshops, press meets and conferences involving Leo Saldana and Environment Support Group. It also includes photographs documenting development projects and its impact on the environment and communities. These have been arranged chronologically.It has no sub-series.
Series two contains protest posters and placards which has been divided thematically into seven sub-series, each related to environmental issues arising from urban development, they inculde posters related to lake privatisation, tree felling, waste management, access to public parks, genetically modified organism and bio-piracy and tree felling in specific locations in Bangalore city. Posters that did not fall under the thematic categories have been grouped under the sub-series titled Miscellaneous which includes posters related to civil rights movements,advocacy etc. </dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Environment Support Group (Environmental, Social Justice and Governance Initiatives)  is an independent not-for-profit organisation that was founded in 1996 and works primarily in Bangalore and Karnataka. They work with communities, trade unions and civil rights groups  to campaign for environmental and social justice. They work as a research, documentation centre while also offering training and running campaigns and are engaged in legal activism..  They work with researchers, activists, law makers, and people to bring decision making with respect to environmental science, urban policy and planning, law, ecological sciences etc.
was founded in 1996 and registered as a Public Charitable Trust in 1998.
